Some of the monkeys on the blanket are really soft appliques that are sown on. It adds some depth and texture that is really nice. Unfortunately, after washing this bedding (in cold water as directed), the red on one of the bumpers bled into the lighter area. It only happened on one side of one bumper, so we just arranged that to face the wall.
