So I got it Supergate Auto-Close Metal Gate OK GateBy P. LundbergAfter a long search for a quality top-of-stairs gate, this is what I decided to buy. Although it works OK it could be better.Two things really bother me about this gate. First, Amazon is selling it as a pressure-mounted gate. This isn't exactly true. While technically it is pressure-mounted, you also need to use the cups that come with and either stick them on or screw them into the wall. This gate is not designed to have a firm mount, it uses hand wheels to adjust tension. As a result, it's not sturdy enough to use without the wall mount cups, meaning you won't be able to move it around much. The hand wheels are "tamper proof", basically meaning that they are a pain to loosen. Since this gate can't be set up in multiple places easily anyway, this shouldn't be a problem. Nevertheless, I would prefer wrench-adjusted tension for a more secure fit and the ability to mount the gate without the cups. This would require a redesign, as it doesn't take much pressure to close the gap at the top when installing (compared to true pressure-mounted gates). Second, I thought this gate was made in the USA. Hey Superyard 3 in 1 Metal Curve Gate, Bronze Great Gate!By AdamALOverall we have been very pleased with this purchase. We needed a safe containment area for our 1 y.o. since we recently started homeschooling an older child and have a baby on the way. This is a wonderful alternative to what we were using...the pack n' play! We did our research and felt this was a good price (MUCH cheaper than some other websites), and found this to be the most attractive play yard. To reiterate what everyone else says, if you only have one it is going to be very small! That's one of the only negatives, so we ordered two, since next year we'll probably have two kids in it. However, both together took up our entire family room! Right now we are only using the one plus an extra panel, which you can order, and it's plenty of room for one. The extra panels are folded and stored away, not taking up too much space. Where to find Munchkin Easy-Close Metal Gate, White So Convenient!By Veronika R. SmithI ordered this gate to replace a standard pressure mounted, plastic gate we were using to section off the living room from the kitchen. With our old gate, everytime you wanted to go into the kitchen, you either had to step over the plastic gate, or remove it and reinstall it EVERY time....such a pain. I wanted something that could stay installed but still would allow us easy access to the kitchen. This gate does just that, and does it BEAUTIFULLY. I went with this gate over the other walk-thrus since it has the widest opening and my husband is a big guy (6'8). It installed in just a few minutes and seems really sturdy. My toddler loves it because he can see through the bars, and I love it because it looks so much nicer than our old one. My favorite aspect of this gate is that you can leave the "door" of the gate in the open position if you need to, and simply close it to keep the baby out. The latch to open the gate is super easy to work with one hand (as long as you have the gate installed correctly and level).
