These seats, like all infant seats, aren't exactly light and then put a 30 pound baby in it... oooff! That's heavy and wouldn't be fun to carry to/from the car. With our son at 20lbs I'm confident we made the right decision. If you opt for the keyfit 30, once your child outgrows it, you'll still need a rear facing convertible seat so you'll only be putting off buying your next seat for a while.The harness is easy to adjust and tighten with a pull of a single strap and the sternum strap is easy to open and close which is not the case for all seats.Installing the base is super simple with the LATCH system and can be swapped between cars in under a minute once you know the drill. The seat installs into the base with a solid "click" letting you know your little one is safe and sound and removing the seat is just as easy.
